Flying Instructors
The Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) is currently seeking qualified Grade 1 Flying Instructors at our airline pilot training academy in Wagga Wagga.
AAPA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings Ltd (Rex), Australia’s largest independent regional airline.
AAPA is a Registered Training Organisation, CRICOS and CASR approved 141 and 142 Training Organisation and provides the highest quality flight training to airline standards, including the successful delivery of the Rex Pilot Cadet Program and training to a growing number of cadets destined for Vietnam Airlines and several Chinese carriers, utilising Piper Warrior III, Cessna 172S and Piper Seminole aircraft fitted with EFIS cockpits and advanced GPS equipment. AAPA holds Training Organisation approvals from CASA, CAAC, and the CAAV.
Requirements:
- Australian ATPL (A) or CPL (A)
- Current Flight Instructor Rating with a Grade 1 Training Endorsement (or required hours)
- Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor) AVI50419; or, Certificate IV Training & Assessment TAE40116/TAE40122 (or equivalent)
Desirable but not essential:
- 50 hours as a pilot of a multi-engine aeroplane
- Instrument Rating – Multi-engine Aeroplane
- Instrument Rating Training Endorsement
- Multi-engine Class Rating Training Endorsement
Successful applicants with an Instrument Rating and Multi Engine Class Rating will be provided training for the Instrument Rating Training Endorsement and Multi Engine Training Endorsement in accordance with the award. AAPA instructors are eligible for employment opportunities within Regional Express Pty Ltd (Rex) subject to meeting the airline’s standard recruitment requirements.
